Industrial Strip Retro Kit Options

Product Review

When it comes to ensuring proper illumination and energy efficient fixtures, newer technology is often better than the older models. With our industrial strip retro kit options, you don’t have to buy new lighting to get new results. With our selection of industrial strip retro kit options, you can upgrade your existing fixtures to be more efficient for your lighting needs. Best of all, we have options to fit nearly every size strip fixture, including four foot and eight foot models. Whether you’re working with a T12, T8, or a T5 fixture, we have the industrial strip retro kit options you need to upgrade your lighting with ease and affordability.

The best way to retro a fixture to be more productive is with the use of a high-quality reflector. Reflectors instantly increase the light spread to push it out and downwards to the floor. This will create an appearance of more light while aiding in overall visibility which is perfect for industrial settings in need of extra illumination. We offer several types of retro kits reflectors for this exact purpose and they can work with just about any size fixture. They are available in a variety of types to help you find the best light output and reflectance level for your needs. For example, our white reflector has an 87% reflectance rate which means 87% of the light generated by the fixture will be pushed downwards to the floor.

We also offer miro-4 material which is essentially a high-grade mirror that will push 95% of the light downwards and out for an even better light spread. They can both be retrofitted to T5 or T8 fixtures. Our retro kits also come with two different types of tombstones holders. We have an option that will easily bend around the fixture, as well as options that allow you to remove the L brackets to help create a wider channel fixture. We also have retro kits for other areas of upgrading your lighting, such as converting to LED from fluorescent and other adaptations to make lighting more efficient.

Hi, it’s James Abraham again with warehouse-lighting.com. Today, we’re talking retros, and I don’t mean retros from the 70’s, we’re talking retro kits for strip lights. I wanted to give you an idea of the different options we have here at Warehouse-Lighting. We’ve got several. We can retro your eight-foot fixtures. We can retro your four-foot fixtures. We can retro your troffers. We can retro your parabolic troffers. I mean, really anything we can retro in the fluorescent stage. When you’re taking those T12’s down to T8’s or T5’s, this is really one of the best ways to go. We’ll give you an idea of what we have here. One, we have a ballast cover. This is if you just want to get light in that fixture and you don’t have a reflector, you don’t want a reflector pushing the light down to the floor, this is a perfect way to go. Usually your cheapest option is this reflector cover or the ballast cover, I’m sorry. Two, we’ve got a white reflector. This is going to be a little bit cheaper than the Miro-4 material which is right here. This is about an 87% reflectance material so it’s going to push 87% of the light down to the floor. So, when we jump up you know this is when we jump up to the Miro-4 which is this material here, we’re going to have about a 95% reflectance that means 95% of that light is being shoved to the floor. You can either use in all these options you can use our t5’s or our t8’s. You have to buy the ballast separate though. Basically, we list the ballast underneath each of our kits because we don’t know if you want a low ballast factor for a T8 or a high ballast factor for a T5 which is pretty much standard. We can get you the 28 watt T8’s or T5’s if you’d like. We also see the bulbs we can sell you energy efficient bulbs. We can get you the 25 watt. We can get you the 28 watt, whatever you need to cover that energy rebate. We’ve got to give you an idea when we’re talking retro kits we really have two types of tombstone holders. One bends around the fixture, the other basically allows you to pull these L brackets out and slide them into the sides of the reflector going up until the five and a quarter or five and a half lengths so you can really do a wider channel fixture. If you have questions about any of these and more, we’re more than happy to help you. Again, we’ve got Miro material 95%, we’ve got the white reflector 87%, and we’ve got the regular ballast channel cover. This will give you an idea of different ways you can go. They are all attached to the channel of the strip fixture with these quarter turns. If you have a problem, in a later video we’ll actually show you how to assemble one of these. Okay, thanks a lot. Have a great day. Again, if you have questions about these products, it's 888-454-4480 or you can visit our website and go to our retro lighting kit section.
