Industrial T5 & T8 Strip Lighting Options

Product Review

While industrial lighting was once thought of as either big, bulky fixtures that offered a smaller scope of illumination or as a lighting solution that was almost overpowering for the location, they are now available in smaller options. With our newer industrial T5 and T8 strip lighting options, you can light a variety of space sizes with effective lighting.

Strip lighting is thinner and longer than most common industrial lighting options. This unique design makes it ideal for spaces in narrow locations, but it can also be used for larger spaces when used in pairs and evenly spaced in the ceiling. Our selection of industrial T5 and T8 strip lighting options utilize a range of ballast covers. One option is an emergency ballast that has a battery backup that will help in case of power outages. This means that in the event of a power shortage, the fixture will kick on backup lamps that will run for up to 90 minutes which is a great feature to have in industrial settings. We also have ballast covers that are in mirrored material that will help with the deflection of light downwards, as well as white reflectors that will help with this aspect. While the mirror option gives the best deflection with a rate of 90%, the white reflector option will give 87% which is still impressive in terms of this type of lighting. These reliable fixtures are made with an aluminum body that is powered coated for added durability. They are a sturdy fixture that will last for many years. They can be used with either T5 or T8 which gives you even more options in terms of lighting solutions. They are easy to install and come preconfigured for an easy addition to your location. They are tightened down by quarter turns to keep the reflector in place.

You can install these fixtures in a variety of mounting options, but they work well in either a suspended style or a recessed for the best lighting distribution. There is no uplight to these fixtures so the lumen output is all shot down which is great for industrial settings. To get a closer look at this reliable solution, check out our video here.

Hi, it’s James Abraham again with Warehouse-Lighting.com. I’m going to be talking to you about our industrial strip lights, this one pictured here. I’m going to also, I’m going to give you an overview of how you can get the strip light put together, or what options you can use. A couple different options, you can have an emergency ballast with this fixture. Basically, that means it’s got a battery backup if one of the lamps fail or the power goes out, it’ll kick on the other lamp for 90 minutes. There are a bunch of ballast cover options to this fixture. You can use a T5 or a T8. This one happens to be a T8. With the three options you have to cover the ballast channel is going to be our mirror material, which is going to be your most expensive option to this. We also have our white powder coat reflector with 87% reflectance out of that, and then we also have what is a ballast channel which is usually, you know, what everyone uses on up fixtures they don’t need a lot of down light on. So, basically, they all mount over that channel, but this gives you an idea. They’re tightened down by quarter turns, which are right here. So, you put basically the reflector on the fixture, tighten it down, and you’ll basically tighten up the fixture. If you have any questions or more you can call us at 888-454-4480. This fixture is also available in eight-foot lengths, and you can ask us more questions about that. My phone number here again 888-454-4480, or you can look at us online at www.warehouse-lighting.com. Thanks for your time. Appreciate you stopping by and have a great day.
