Hi, this is James Abraham with Warehouse-Lighting.com. I’m going to compare a couple of things here because we get a lot of phone calls from people that say,” I can pick up the same fixture at Home Depot that you guys offer”. I’m going to give you the breakdown of a Home Depot fixture versus one of our fixtures my left. First, we’re going to go through the Home Depot fixture to give you an idea of what you can expect. There’s a couple things here I’d like to discuss. One, this is not a full body fixture. It is an IBM fixture. It is made of powder coat steel it looks like to me. It does have holes through the reflector to give you uplight which how many times in an industrial application do you need to light your ceiling. There’s a couple of things I want to go over here. One is how flimsy this fixture is. This is Home Depot. The reflector is small and gives you as you can see from the side, not much depth to the reflector, gives you a bad distribution down to the floor. So, one, you’ve got holes through the reflector so you’re given the up light, you’re losing light into the ceiling. Two, bad distortion with a pretty flat reflector, not a lot of bends. Basically, this fixture is a channel fixture like a strip fixture that you pick up for twenty-nine dollars that they’ve tacked a ballast inside and ran four t5 lamps when you can only give so much distribution to four t5’s this close together. By the way, I just want to tell you that the reflector basically has four positions here while they only screw two of them in so that reflector is basically just floating in the fixture if any kind of wind hits it you know, it’s going to move all over the place. Ballast removal on their fixture you basically have to unscrew four screws and then this whole piece basically falls off of this channel which is a strip fixture so the four screws are here, here, and at the bottom at those same two spots which basically leaves this hanging and drifting in the wind and when you’re up on a ladder on the ceiling. This basically gives you a two-year warranty, is what their box tells me, so there’s a two-year warranty on this fixture. Now, I’m going to turn off the camera. I’m going to move it over to the other side and have you look at our fixture in comparison. Okay, now to go through the Warehouse-Lighting HB-4-T5 fixture, what we have here in comparison to the Home Depot fixture, which is this fixture right here, where you have to remove those four screws to pull this whole piece off, and it’s basically a channel or a strip fixture, is our fixture. Theirs 89 dollars, ours 80 dollars, but you got to pay shipping, but this gives you an idea. Our reflectors are much larger, giving out better distribution along the floor. Our fixture comes with hangers, theirs does not. So, ours is a full body fixture so there’s no leaving the reflectors out hanging like theirs. As you can see, high beam fixture there’s no wobble to my fixture while it’s hanging up here, but there’s no give, very little. Mine comes with a better ballast. This one comes with the GE that’s in it today. It’s basically solid as can be. It’s UL listed just like theirs. Let me show you how easy it is to do work on this. So, theirs you had to take off the whole bottom piece of the fixture. Ours, just lift it up, one screw, two screw. Ours hinges down. The lamps can still be attached to the fixture when it hinges down. You can see the GE ultra Max ballast inside. Quick disconnect. So, this gives you an idea over ours versus theirs. Don’t like to downplay the competition. Theirs still works, but ours will give you a little bit, or give you a better, light distribution along the floor. A five-year warranty so if there’s any problems, you know where to come. It’s a much nicer stiffer fixture. Ours come with these hangers and also a two and a half foot chain, so you can hang them on your own. Theirs does not come with hangers. So, if you have any questions, feel free to call us here at Warehouse-Lighting. We’d be glad to answer any question you have. Thanks for coming. We’ll talk to you later.
