How do you install 1x4 troffer lights?

To install lay-in 1x4 troffer lights, start by removing the ceiling panels where the fixture will be installed. Make sure the breaker is off so there is no power before continuing. 

Next, drill holes into the interior of the ceiling large enough to support the anchors of the fixture. Make sure before you drill that these holes will line up with the measurement of the opening to get a proper installation. 

Once that is complete, screw the eye bolts into the anchors. 

Next, place the fixture in the T-bar framework and connect the luminaire to the corresponding eye bolt. Make sure you wrap the wiring around since this will ensure the troffer stays secure in the event the T-bar collapses. 

From there, connect the light wiring to the corresponding wires and install the ballast cover. 

Finally, install the lamps and place the cover for the fixture back on. Turn the breaker back on and enjoy your new fixture!
