Q: What's the difference between the suspended, mud flange, and recessed flange mounting options?

The suspended mount is included and uses the 10 foot aircraft cable kit to hang the fixture below the ceiling. A mud flange is for recessed installations in drywall ceilings, where the goal is a clean, flangeless look, with the fixture sitting flush to the ceiling plane. A recessed flange is also recessed, but leaves a visible trim flange around the opening, which simplifies installation and gives a more defined edge. Wall-mount and T-bar mounts are available for vertical surface installations and standard drop ceiling grids, respectively.
