How many lumens does it take to light a sanctuary with a high ceiling?

It depends on the ceiling height and the floor area, so there is no single number. As a rough starting point, the taller the ceiling, the higher the lumen output you need per fixture to get usable light down at seat level. What should I look for so the lighting does not ruin our livestream?

Cameras are pickier than eyes. Look for a CRI of 90 or higher so faces record accurately, and confirm the fixture is flicker-free, since older ballasted lighting shows up as banding or pulsing on video. Dimmable fixtures also help, so you can balance the stage against the camera without blowing out the shot.

Can I use the same fixtures inside and outside the building?

Only the ones rated for it. A good portion of this collection carries damp or wet location ratings, and many exterior-suitable models are IP65 or higher for rain and washdown. Check the rating on the product page before you put an indoor fixture under a soffit or over an entrance.
