Recessed lighting housings are the fixtures itself that is installed inside the ceiling and contains the lamp holder and the recessed lighting trim. There are many different types of bulbs that can be inserted into lighting housings, with the amount of heat generated by the bulb being a unique consideration. As the names imply, new construction housings are used when constructing the ceiling while remodel housings can be used during a remodeling project.
