Our fixture ballasts are CEE and UL approved and are rebate compatible to allow applying for energy rebates no matter what state or utility that may be offering it.

What are Troffer lights?

Troffer light fixtures are used to illuminate indoor spaces that are placed in what are normally referred to as T-bar ceilings, grid ceilings or suspended ceilings. They can be laid into a ceiling grid in which they are recessed and sit above the grid but can also be suspended or surface mounted. Where are Troffer lights used?

What are the different types of Troffer lights?

Troffers use fluorescent tubes, LED tubes or integrated LED arrays for their light source. Be sure to check out our troffer lighting “LED versus Fluorescent” blog post which covers the benefits of LED compared to fluorescent options.

They are available in three different sizes, 1 foot by 4 foot (1x4), 2 foot by 2 foot (2x2) and 2 foot by 4 foot (2x4). These varying sizes allow for flexible installation in ceiling grids and T-bars. The 1x4 and 2x2 sizes can be made to more easily fit into narrow or tight spaces.

Troffers utilize lenses, diffusers, baskets, parabolic louvers and reflectors to manage glare or brightness and evenly distribute light. These accessories allow for direct (towards the ground) or indirect lighting (up towards the ceiling) from the fixture.
